Posted in the topic Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2: End Date, Battle Pass Rewards, and Exciting Collaborations in the Forum News and Announcements
    February 27, 2025 6:14 PM PST

While Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 is still fresh, fans are already looking ahead to what’s next. Whether it's due to a battle pass they’re not fond of or leaks about upcoming skins that catch their attention, players love knowing when a season is set to wrap up. It gives them time to plan their grind, especially as they aim to complete weekly quests before the season ends—kind of like saving homework for the last minute.
When does Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 end?
Mark your calendars: Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 is set to end on May 2. You can confirm this date by checking the battle pass section in-game. With the season kicking off on February 21, this gives you about 10 weeks or two and a half months to finish your battle pass.
Among the standout rewards this season are the coveted Sub-Zero skins. Mortal Kombat joins Fortnite for the first time, bringing two skins for the iconic fighter—both available as the final rewards in the battle pass.
But that’s not all! Fortnite fans can also look forward to several collaborations throughout the season. While these crossovers may not be directly tied to the battle pass, they will be available for purchase in the Item Shop. One of the first collaborations to drop is with Cowboy Bebop. Fans can now get their hands on skins for Faye Valentine and Spike Siegel, with additional quests coming soon for a chance to earn free cosmetics like loading screens.
So, whether you're grinding for battle pass rewards or keeping an eye on the upcoming collaborations, Season 2 has plenty in store for everyone!

Posted in the topic Moving from Xbox Exclusivity to Multiplatform Releases in the Forum News and Announcements
    December 17, 2024 11:51 PM PST

Microsoft appears to be shifting its approach to exclusivity, moving away from Xbox-exclusive titles in favor of bringing future first-party games to PlayStation, though most will likely remain timed exclusives.
Jez Corden, the executive editor of Windows Central, recently shared insights into Microsoft's evolving strategy via Twitter. He stated, “Xbox won’t have exclusives going forward. Everything is timed exclusively at most.” When asked if this was speculation or confirmed, Corden clarified, “If some games are exclusive, it’s gonna be incidental at best. The ‘case by case’ argument is largely going to be multiplatform, timed, with maybe a few (very few) exceptions.” He also addressed doubts about the upcoming Fable game coming to PlayStation, suggesting that while it might not launch on Sony’s platform immediately, it’s likely to make its way there eventually due to its significant cost.
This shift in strategy seems plausible given recent developments. In February, Microsoft announced plans to bring a range of its titles to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, starting with Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded. Additionally, it confirmed that DOOM: The Dark Ages will arrive on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5, and that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be released on PS5 next year.
Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, had already hinted that the company wouldn't rule out releasing Xbox first-party games on rival platforms in the future. This was further emphasized by Satya Nadella, Microsoft's CEO, during a recent shareholder meeting. Nadella discussed the company's gaming strategy, mentioning that it’s at a peak, especially with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which was the first in the series to launch directly on Game Pass and succeed. Nadella reiterated Microsoft's commitment to gaming, saying, “We chose the secular growth category in entertainment, which we think is gaming, and said, ‘Let’s double down on it.’” He added that Xbox is redefining what it means to be an Xbox fan, aiming to bring the experience to all devices.
This shift from exclusivity to a more flexible, multiplatform approach marks a significant change for Microsoft’s gaming division. While it's still unclear exactly how this strategy will unfold, it’s clear that the company is moving towards a more inclusive model, broadening the reach of its games to PlayStation, Nintendo, and beyond. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming years as more details emerge.
As you prepare to gift the Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma to your friends or family this Christmas, don’t forget to check out Z2U for even more gaming deals.
